Shift cable failure

I couldn't shift the boat last fall and it got worse and worse
I thought it was the atomic 4 transmission but no its fine
Then discovered the cable was jammed. This is not easy to replace
Pulled out the old
The ericson with the Edison Pedestal and Atomic 4 engine uses 6400cc series cable
5/16 -24 threads
a 12 ft cable costs over 170.00 plus shipping

This is a Teleflex cable ,Teleflex bought out just about every cable manufacturer so a one stop scource.

Under the lump in the cable this is what i found

The cable is quite heavy and expensive because of the diameter there is no cheaper way

launch for 2015

There are still some items that need doing but those can be done in the water

We have new spreader bars
the water packing gland got serviced
oil change
new led lights in the cabin
and a new shift cable the one in the boat is no longer working
